Integrating Urban Trees into Stormwater Systems

Among the new innovations coming out in the world of urban forestry, there is a new one that helps integrate trees with stormwater management systems while dramatically increasing the soil volume available to the tree.  For those of us who are really tired of seeing urban trees in tiny tree pits, this is a welcome introduction!

Electronics recycling this weekend!!!!

Just a reminder that this Saturday from 9am to 2pm at Kato Knight Parking Lot in Downtown Tifton (by the Tank and Chamber of Commerce) you can drop of any and all electronics for recycling!  This is a free service and it helps keep these materials out of the landfill.  Since these items don't decay quickly and may contain hazardous substances, this is a good way to make sure they are properly handled.  If nothing else, this is motivation to clean out some of that junk that has been packed in the garage or attic!
